I was amazed to see various tastes of Onigiri (rice ball) when I was in Japan. It is already art of food. The variety of the filling and fancy toppings are super. Even simple white onigiri that doesn't have any filling or wrapping seaweed has taste, which is Salt (shio) . I understand that Onigiri was selected as food of the year 2023 in Japan. I tried as many Onigiri as I could in Japan.
