The impressive sculpture symbolizes the unification of Geneva with Switzerland in 1814.\nTwo women in bronze attire – the Republic of Geneva and Helvetias – holding each other entwined at the waist. Perched on their pedestal, they look north towards Switzerland.\n\nThe National Monument is located in the Jardin Anglais, facing the lake. It was inaugurated in 1869. With this work, the sculptor Robert Dorer symbolised Geneva’s integration into the Swiss Confederation on 12 September 1814 with two women each carrying a sword and shield.

Boston, Massachusetts, USA - January 22, 2024: Rear view of the equestrian statue of George Washington in the Boston Public Garden. The sculpture by Thomas Ball was commissioned in 1859, modeled in 1864, and cast and dedicated in 1869. The bronze statue measures approximately 22 x 6 x 15 ft, and rests on a granite base. The monument was conceived in an effort to present Massachusetts as an artistic center. Back Bay neightborhood buildings in the background.

The Jubilee Column is a 30 meter high column, commemorating the 25th anniversary (1841) and the 60th birthday of king Wilhelm I. von Württemberg in 1846. Building started in 1842 after design by architect was Johann Michael von Knapp and in 1846 it was finished. The statues and reliefs were made by the sculptor Theodor Wagner. The statues represent the four estates; three of the four reliefs represent the king's military successes against Napoleon Bonaparte, only one is devoted to a political event. In 1863 a 5 m high statue of Concordia by Ludwig von Hofer was placed on the top.  The Dominant Building is Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg as part of the New Palace In Stuttgart.

A woman rubs the nose of the wild boar after placing a coin in its mouth to ensure her return to Florence. That's why the snout has the striking white appearance - because it’s constantly rubbed by tourists.. Il Porcellino (which means 'piglet' in Italian) is the name for this bronze fountain. It was designed by Pietro Tacca (1577-1640) in about 1634. The original; statue represents the Calydonian Boar of Greek myth. It's located at the Mercato Nuovo.

The statue was sculpted by artist Stephan Sinding and erected in 1899, the same year the National Theatre was built and had its first performance. The life-size statue of Ibsen has him standing with both hands behind his back and with the left hand cupped in the right hand.
