Simiane La Rotonde, in the Alpes de Haute Provence, France, on 22 August 2021 honoured, with great respect, the liberation of Provence in 1944. Four Associations presented this important and moving time, dressed in uniforms of the day and arriving in wartime  vehicles. There was not a particular program other than for the actors to circulate amongst the onlookers, depicting the dress and somewhat of the feeling of the day during the time of the liberation.

Albuera, Spain - May 17, 2014: Two neighbors dressed in the costume of the nineteenth century Portuguese soldier involved in historical reenactment of the Battle of Albuera. This holiday commemorates this great battle that took place in 1811. During the events, actions and plays involved many of the inhabitants of this small town. This historical reenactment is held annually in mid-May.
