Galanthus nivalis was described by the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus in his Species Plantarum in 1753, and given the specific epithet nivalis, meaning snowy (Galanthus means with milk-white flowers).

Venus Slipper Orchid - Orchidaceae Paphiopedilume,  can be found among the humus layers of the forest floor but are also often cultivated by orchid enthusiats. It's more common cousin is the wild Lady Slipper.

Ophrys bourdon (Ophrys fuciflora)
Iris japonica, also known as fringed iris, Shaga or butterfly flower, is a species of genus iris. Native to China despite its name, it is found in clusters in shadow under forest. Its blooming time is March and April, with flowers of pale blue, lavender or white color with orange or yellow crest.
