In 1859  a Carrara marble statue representing the Empress Josephine de Beauharnais, wife of  the French Emperor Napoleon 1, was  installed at La Savane Park in Fort de  France. In 1991, the statue was beheaded by a group of people and red paint was splattered on it as a reminder of her role in reinstating slavery.

The roofs on homes and temples in China are frequently more detailed than any other part of the structure.  They say a lot about the building and its inhabitants.  Here we have a warrior on a lower roof with the upper roof in the background.  He is fierce, well dressed and very detailed.
