Rome, Italy - October 10, 2007: Ancient Roman doors from the Curia Julia, were moved in 1660 according to the instructions of Pope Alexander VII to become the main door of the Basilica of St. John in Lateran, one of the four Papal Basilicas in Rome. The doors are about 2,100 years old. Approximately 25 feet in height, they are perfectly balanced: it takes only one man to open and close them.
