Eton, England - August 3, 2019: this small Catholic chapel was created by Lord Braye (Alfred Verney Cave) and opened in 1915. He was an amateur architect who had attended Eton College and Christ Church College, Oxford. As a convert to Catholicism, he wished the Catholic pupils studying at Eton to have a place or worship, and he built this chapel, based on a Baroque design, near the High Street. The College was heavily opposed to the creation of the chapel, and it was only in the late 1920s that pupils were permitted to use it.
