Warner Theater in Torrington, Connecticut, on the evening of August 28, 2002. The art deco building is the most famous in this small city (population 34,000). In rural Litchfield County, Torrington sits at the edge of the New York City Metropolitan Area, about 100 miles from Times Square. In recent years, Torrington has become known as an arts center. The theater was originally owned by the movie studio Warner Bros.
