New Mexico has some of the flattest land as well as some of the most rugged mountains in the country. Some portions of the state are rich in pine forests, meadows, and fish-laden mountain streams, while other areas are devoid of any water bodies, and even cacti struggle to survive.

The excursion to the blue puddle in Chulilla is by far the route with the most history and one of the most beautiful and with the most anecdotes to tell.\n\nPhilology tells us that the blue puddle takes its name from the term Arabic origin azud, which indicates the presence of a small dam in the area, used to irrigate the orchard adjacent to the town. If we look closely we will still be able to observe some remains of stalking that depart right from this point.\n\nThe road to the blue puddle is an easy route to travel and is quite unmarked so it is not easy to miss. There are two possible roads, one that would start in the southern part of the town, which is the most recommended for those who do not want to walk a lot or climb slopes, since they can park nearby (down in the river) and save the return climb. This road is born from a road that is located by the municipal pool and before reaching the cemetery. We will meet in the lower part of the town known as the barranquillo neighbourhood. We can move forward and go down almost to river level, the ideal place to park our vehicle near the wastewater treatment plant. Once there, we have to follow the path on our right. This option would give us a chance to fully witness the sickles of the Turia River\n\nThe other road goes down the north side of the town towards the river and we can start it with a street near the Plaza de la baronia, the central square of Chulilla where there are several bars. It is perfectly indicated its route through the streets of the town and then there is no loss, always down and up. We can also ask the locals who will kindly answer us.

Taşyaran Valley and Canyon, aerial view of the valley, aerial view of the canyon, water flowing through the valley, beautiful looking interesting valley or canyon, symbol of turkey, young woman watching the valley\n\nTaşyaran Valley, which is approximately 45 km from the city center on the Uşak-İzmir Highway; It was formed as a result of water, wind and tectonic movements. The rocks that cover the valley and take on different colors starting from the ground look like a painter's color palette. The vegetation and geological formations unique to the Taşyaran Valley attract the attention of local and foreign tourists from all over Turkey and the world. Features of Taşyaran Valley The Gediz River, fed by the waters of the mountains in the inner parts of Western Anatolia, has created interesting formations in this part of the Gediz Basin, which includes the Taşyaran Valley. The water has created a very interesting and special canyon from the geological point of view by splitting the rocks in the valley. The jagged, lace-like formations shaped by the erosion of the stream over thousands of years are beautiful enough to inspire sculptors and painters. Besides the water, it is thought that materials such as gravel carried by the stream erode the rocks. Many of the small ponds in this area are filled with pebbles brought by the water. The water entering the crack systems of the valley opened by earthquake faults has been grinded like a mill by strong currents and the pebbles it carries and has created such extraordinary shapes over thousands of years. The rocks you will see when you visit Taşyaran are called Gneiss in geology. Metamorphic rocks that are formed due to metamorphosis of igneous or sedimentary rocks. These rocks, which were formed as granite at a depth of kilometers, managed to rise to the surface with great tectonic movements and erosions that took place over time and transformed into gneiss by transforming.
