Rome, Italy, July 22 -- A couple of tourists enjoy the sunset light sitting among the ruins of the Trajan's Forum, in the majestic historic heart of Rome. The Trajan's Forum is among the best preserved archaeological areas in Rome, with the remains of the large market built by the emperor and the temples that were part of this sumptuous portion of the great Roman Imperial Forum. In the background, on the left the famous Trajan's Column and on the right the dome of the church of the Santissimo Nome di Maria at the Trajan Forum. The building was designed by Francis Johnson in the neoclassical Greek Revival style and completed in 1818.  It is the headquarters of An Post, the government owned national postal service.  During the 1916 Easter Rising, a pivotal moment in the struggle for Irish independence from Great Britain, the building became the headquarters for the rebellion.  It was destroyed by the British forces and rebuilt in 1929 by the Irish Free State.
