10 july 2023, Basse Yutz, Yutz, Thionville Portes de France, Moselle, Lorraine, Grand est, France. It's summer. In a public park, in a patch of cultivated flowers, a European Wool Carder Bee landed on a leaf. the bird's eye view of the bee shows its distinctive yellow and black abdomen. It collects plant fibers with the bristles of its legs to line its nest. Hence its name. It's a solitary bee.
