Buenos Aires, Argentina - .Monument to General San Martín and the Armies of the independence at the Plaza San Martin Square in Buenos Aires city.The Monument to General San Martín and the Armies of Independence of the city of Buenos Aires is an equestrian monument in bronze on a polished red granite base that honors General José de San Martín, Argentine national hero and four important related landmarks. The group formed by the Liberator on the horse was the first equestrian monument in Argentina (inaugurated on July 13, 1862), the work of the French sculptor Louis-Joseph Daumas. On the other hand, the bronze groups around the basement are the work of the German Gustavo Eberlein, and were inaugurated in 1910.

The Artigas Monument is dedicated to the Uruguayan national hero, José Gervasio Artigas. It is located in the center of Independence Square in Montevideo. The monument was inaugurated on February 28, 1923, and consists of an equestrian statue and, below ground, the mausoleum where Artigas' remains rest. The monument features a stepped plinth with a base of polished gray granite, surrounded by a bronze frieze nearly two meters high, depicting the people during the Oriental Exodus and symbolically supporting the equestrian figure of Artigas above. Artigas is dressed in a poncho, holding the reins of his horse in his left hand and the Instructions of the Year XIII in his right hand.

The municipality and governorship of İzmir decided to build a monument dedicated to Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. In 1929, the statue of the monument was commissioned to Pietro Canonica an Italian sculptor who had formerly created another Ataturk statue in istanbul in 1928. The base of the statue was designed by Turkish architect Asim KOMURCU and the statue was erected on 27 July 1932.
