Washington DC, USA- March 26, 2012: The United States Botanic Garden (USBG), Washington DC, USA. It is a botanic garden on the grounds of the United States Capitol, near Garfield Circle. The Botanic Garden is supervised by the Congress through the Architect of the Capitol, who is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the United States Capitol. Viburnum dilatatum, commonly called linden viburnum because its leaves resemble those of the linden tree, is native to East Asia, including Japan. White flowers in showy, domed clusters appear in late spring (April to early June). Flowers give way to bright red fruits that mature to black in fall and winter. Berries are attractive to birds.
