The Pasteur Institute (Institut Pasteur) is a French non-profit private foundation dedicated to the study of biology, micro-organisms, diseases, and vaccines. It is named after Louis Pasteur, who made some of the greatest breakthroughs in modern medicine at the time, including pasteurization and vaccines for anthrax and rabies. The institute was founded in 1887. For over a century, the Institut Pasteur has been at the forefront of the battle against infectious disease. Since 2020, the Pasteur Institute has been working on research into the vaccine against the Covid-19 coronavirus.  The sculpture of Pasteur is from Naoum Aronson, made in 1923 in Paris for the Pasteur Institute.  Paris 15 th district / arrondissement,  in France. September 29, 2020.

Oslo, Norway: Gestapo plaque at Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters - Victoria terrasse building, completed in 1890 - During the occupation of Norway in April 1940, the building was taken over by the German police authorities Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo) which included the Secret State Police (Gestapo) and the Criminal Police (Kripo). It was intended as a headquarters for the leadership of SiPo and Sicherheitsdienst (SD), where Heinrich Fehlis was commander (BdSuSD), but in February 1945 he moved his headquarters to Furulund in west Oslo, while SiPo's commander remained at Victoria Terrace. Here was the interrogation room for all the prisoners in Oslo, and the name \
American flag blended with the United States Constitution for use as a symbol of laws, freedom and separation of government powers.

It is located at Fish St Hill, London EC3R 8AH\n\nA night-time  shot, of the Fire of London Monument, showing the monument's Latin dedication in sharp relief, and its tall column disappearing into the night sky above.\n\nNote. The artists died several hundred years ago i.e.,  >70 years after 1723 (death of surviving architect Wren) and the piece is therefore now well of date as per UK copyright law and is viewed from the public highway.
