Round-leaved sundew. Scientific name: Drosera rotundifolia. The carnivorous lifestyle of the Round-leaved sundew makes this heathland plant a fascinating species. The round leaves have sticky, 'dew'-covered tendrils that tempt in unsuspecting insects as prey.

One of the plants of wet moorland, moist streambanks and boggy places, the Sundew is an insectivorous plant which derives its nourishment by trapping flies and then digesting them.  Oblong-leaved Sundew is less common than Round-leaved Sundew but is similar in having hairs covering its leaves, each hair ending in a sticky blob which glues the insect to the leaf irrevocably.

Grevillea banksii, also known as Red silky oak, is evergreen shrub / tree, which is native to Queensland, Australia, and belongs to the Proteaceae family. The clusters of dark red flowers appear sporadically all year with bloom heaviest from late spring to early summer.
