Jingtu Temple in Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, a tourist attraction in China, is home to the Daxiong Hall, commonly known as the North Temple. The main hall of Jingtu Temple, the Daxiong Hall, was rebuilt in the 24th year of the Dading era (1184). It has three bays in depth and width, with a nearly square floor plan, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, gentle roof slopes, sparse dougong brackets, and prominent upward-curving eaves. Despite renovations over the ages, it retains its original appearance. Inside the hall, there are Qing dynasty murals depicting Buddhist stories, characterized by traditional folk art styles in composition and technique. The hall's caisson ceiling and Heavenly Officials Pavilion are beautifully designed, with intricate and delicate structures. It serves as a refined model of Jin dynasty architecture and craftsmanship, providing valuable physical evidence for studying Jin dynasty architectural regulations and styles.
