Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon, but rather a collection of giant natural amphitheatres along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southwestern Utah. It is well known for its large amount off bizarre rock spires and pinnacles known as Hoodoos, which formed from the erosion of the limestone of the Claron Formation. Legend though claims that these pinnacles were people, who were so bad and evil that the Coyote turned them to stone.
