Rose Lace Coral Stylaster roseus is a genus of hydroids in the family Stylasteridae. The species occurs in the tropical Western Pacific and in the Atlantic in a depth range from 0-73m in protected, shaded areas of reefs, often in caves or crevices. Colonies are fan-like, with branches in one plane; up to 10 cm in height. The surface of the outer branches is covered with rows of tiny cups, formed by feeding and encircling stinging polyps. Cups are also visible on the branches thick base. Polyps have a hair-like appearance when extended like on a part of this photo. Palau 7°4'58.248 N 134°15'42.408 E at 18m depth.

The Valley of Fire is a 46,000-acre State Park, famous for its unique rock formations, red sandstone cliffs, and petroglyphs. Rainbow Vista is a viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, with vibrant colors ranging from reds and oranges to yellows and pinks. The unique sandstone formations have been eroded by wind and water over millions of years, creating a variety of interesting shapes and textures. On May 20, 2012 there was an annular solar eclipse that was visible from the Valley of Fire. The sun formed a ring around the moon; a spectacular phenomenon to view. As the sun passed behind the moon, the land around the area acquired an other-worldly glow, providing the opportunity to capture some brightly colored and radiant scenes. The color of Gorgonian Seafan Annella mollis varies and ranges from cream-colored to pink and orange. The close-meshed skeleton of the species in the family Subergorgiidae consists of fused sclerites and gorgonin, so it is extraordinarily flexible and thus perfectly adapted to strong currents.
