18th May 2023: Aerial drone view of Eilean Glas Lighthouse, located on the east of the Hebridean Island of Skalpay, which connected by road bridge to the nearby Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Established in 1789 by Thomas Smith, it is one of the first four lighthouses built in Scotland.  The present tower was built in 1824. It is painted with distinctive red & white stripes, to distinguish it as a day mark. The fog horn was added in 1907 and was in use until 1987. Now managed by the Northern Lighthouse Board, the lighthouse and remains an important working beacon for passing mariners.
