She loses the leaves for a short period around October. When it turns green, it is covered with yellow-orange flowers, which form a yellow alformbra when they fall. It has a second flowering in summer but less intense. \nTipa (Tipuana tipu) also known as rosewood  is a South American tree. It is the only member of the genus Tipuana. Well known as a shade tree, it grows up to thirty metres high and twenty metres wide. It’s flowers are bright yellow and bloom only briefly in late summer. The fruit is a hard, pod with the seed at one end, resembling a samara (the fruit of the Ash genus, Fraxinus).Timber is whitish in colour, strong and fibrous. Cut logs ooze blood-red resin.
Kerria japonica, commonly called Japanese kerria or Japanese rose, is a graceful, spring-flowering, deciduous shrub that is native to certain mountainous areas of Japan and China. It grows to 1-2m tall on slender, arching, yellowish-green stems. Single, five-petaled, as well as double petaled, yellow flowers bloom somewhat profusely in spring.

Mahonia bealei, commonly known as Leatherleaf Mahonia or Beale’s barberry, is an evergreen shrub with large, leathery leaves, each composed of 9-13 spiny leaflets. Fragrant yellow flowers in loose, spreading to pendant racemes, bloom in late winter to early spring (February- April). Flowers are followed by ornamentally attractive, waxy green fruits which hang in grape-like clusters and mature to blue-black in late spring to early summer.
