Ancient books, actually; I was hesitant to even touch them, much less open them and thumb through the pages. The bookstore owner assured me it was okay. When I did I felt overwhelmed with their antiquity. All were written in Latin, so I had no idea what I was reading, but just knowing how old they were spoke volumes.
