Rome, Italy -- The statue of Giordano Bruno in Campo de Fiori square, one of the most loved and visited places by tourists, located in the heart of Rome between Piazza Farnese and Piazza Navona. The bronze statue of the religious and philosopher Giordano Bruno, made by the sculptor Ettore Ferrari in 1889, was erected in the place where he was condemned to the stake by the Holy Inquisition in 1600. The church, with its cloister, was built together with the convent of the Hermits of San'Agostino in 1270 and rebuilt a century later together with the cathedral. The bell tower, as mentioned, is mentioned by Leopardi in his poem of the solitary sparrow. The beautiful facade of the Cathedral or Duomo of Santa Maria Assunta in the historic heart of Pesaro, a town on the Adriatic coast of Italy in the Marche region. Built in the 12th century, the Cathedral of Pesaro stands on a previous temple from the Peleo-Christian era of which some mosaics are preserved. The Romanesque-Gothic style facade is unfinished and has a simple ogival portal. Known as the City of Music and the City of the Bicycle, Pesaro was founded by the Piceni people during the Iron Age, to develop as an important center on the Adriatic Sea under the rule of Ancient Rome and later in the Middle Ages. Pesaro is known and loved in the world of music and opera for being the birthplace of the composer Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868), author of works such as The Barber of Seville, Guillaume Tell and La Gazza Ladra.
