It is a world heritage site.\nThis luxurious hospital was built between 1902 and 1930 and operated until 2009.\nIt was designed by Lluís Domenech i Montane, the same architect who designed the Palau de la Musica de Catalunya.\nThere are 48 buildings on an area of 145,000 square meters. There are many stained glass and tile decorations, and the building's angle and ventilation are designed to let in sunlight.\nAll wards are connected underground, allowing patients to be transported to their rooms.\nThe clock tower at the tip of the main tower is in traditional Gothic style. The ward, which resembles an Islamic palace, is built of Mudejar-style brick.
