This is the only Holy Door in the Americas. Notre-Dame de Québec’s Holy Door has been open since December 8th, 2023, for a very special reason: the 350th anniversary of foundation of the Quebec diocese.\n\nDuring this year of celebration, the Holy Door—the only one outside of Europe—will welcome people from everywhere who which to experience, in crossing it, a spiritual process. For Christians, this symbolic passage is done through Jesus Christ.\n\nDuring its inaugural year, in 2014, over 335 000 people passed though the only Holy Door in American. It was again opened during the Jubily of Mercy requested by Pope Francis in 2016, and the Holy Door will seemingly be opened again in 2025, for the Jubilee of the Universal Catholic Church.
