Bikaner, India - September 30, 2015: Jain temple Bhandreshwar paintings in Bikaner Rajasthan India. It was once the capital of the princely state of Bikaner. It was founded by Rao Bika in 1486. It is now the fourth biggest city in Rajasthan and although not receiving as many tourists as other cities in the state it is slowly gaining popularity because of the beautiful havelis (houses) an amazing fort palaces and temples like the one in the image. Bhandreshwar was started in 1468 and completed in 1514. The temple is dedicated to the fifth Jain Tirthankara (founders of the Jain religion), Sumatinathji.

Vientiane, Laos:  Patuxai (literally Victory Gate or Gate of Triumph) - Patuxai was completed in 1968 celebrating Laos' independence from France (1949), in 1995 it was re-dedicated to the 1975 communist victory in the civil war. On top of the gate sit five small ornate towers with finials, one on each corner with the fifth in the center, at an higher level. The towers represent the five Buddhist principles of thoughtful amiability, flexibility, honesty, honor and prosperity.
