Mission San Jose, San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo, is one of five existing missions along the San Antonio River. Built by Spaniards to support their quest for exploration from New Spain (present day Mexico), they eventually became centers for spreading the Catholic faith to frontier Indians. The five missions within the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park florished between 1747 and 1775, but still experienced raids by local Comanche and Apache Indians. Mission San Jose was knows as the Queen of the Missions, due to its extensive grounds and fortified compound.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located near Garb on the island of Gozo, the sister island of Malta.\nIn 1883 a woman from the village of Garb, Karmni Grima, heard the voice of Our Lady at the small chapel that then occupied this site. It rapidly became a centre of pilgrimage and the number of visitors soon overwhelmed the little church.\nTodays magnificent church in Romanesque Style was built between 1920 and 1932. It is an architectural masterpiece, especially inside with its superb sculptures and craftsmanship in Maltese stone. The sanctuary was constructed in front of the original chapel. In 1932 the new Church was blessed and opened to the public and in 1935, Pope Pius XI raised it to the dignity of Minor Basilica.\nSince 2017 the space in front of basilica no longer serves as a carpark but with mosaic on both sides it became a place to welcome the devout apart from serving as an attraction and a spiritual aid to pilgrims. The mosaic work was commissioned to the Centro Aletti of Rome, under the guidance of Fr Marko Ivan Rupnik. The Centro Aletti is renowned for the sacred art which it has created in 150 churches all over the world, including the Vatican and sanctuaries such as Lourdes and Fatima.\nTa' Pinu, Gharb, Gozo, Malta, Europe.

The beautiful and harmonious facade of the Basilica Superiore di San Francesco (Upper Basilica of St Francis) in the medieval town of Assisi, in Umbria. Built in the Italian Gothic style starting from 1228 and completed in 1253, the Basilica, which preserves the mortal remains of the Saint of the Poor from 1230, is composed of the Basilica Inferiore (Lower Basilica) and the Basilica Superiore (Upper Basilica), perfectly integrated. Over the centuries Assisi and the spirituality of its sacred places have become a symbol of peace, a point of reference for tolerance and solidarity between peoples and between the different confessions of the world. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands.
