Twin young Kodiak brown bear cubs in their first season walk along a rocky beach trying to keep up with the sow, who is out of frame. Alaskan husky — The most commonly used dog in dog sled racing,Siberian huskies, are another iconic sledding breed, Each spring, it takes a tremendous effort with a dedicated team to create a summer sled dog camp of 20 people and almost 200 sled dogs on top of a glacier.  Sled dog camp is very remote and the only way in is by helicopter.\nThey fly the entire camp to the ice-field with “Slings” under the aircraft. The dogs are flown up inside the same helicopters human’s fly in.  Special dog boxes carry about 12 dogs per flight. In September the dogs and camp are all flown back off the glacier. The camp gets stored in a warehouse and the sled dogs go home to their winter life of “mushing” and training for races.\n Mendenhall Glacier’s one and only dog camp, where 240 Alaska Huskies live. the dog camp is located on the glacier
