Flowers blue, rarely white, 12-20mm long, pendent bells in lax, branched panicles, occasionally a simple raceme; flowers erect in bud; calyx teethe linear, usually reflexed. Capsule pendent.\nHabitat: Dry grassy areas, grassy hills and banks, commons, heaths, downs, rocky ground and fixed sand dunes, on acid or calcareous soils.\nFlowering Season: July-September.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except for parts of the extreme north.\n\nThe Picture is made along a small River in the Eifel (Germany) in halfway August 2021.
