Dogtown Reservoir in Williams, Arizona
The Kachina Wetlands is a 70-acre area owned and managed by Kachina Village Improvement District. The 8 ponds on site are primarily used for the evaporation of treated wastewater but have attracted numerous species of wildlife. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded since 2004. Of those, 65 are wetland-associated species that would not be present without the ponds. Another outstanding feature is the view of the nearby San Francisco Peaks.
