Richmond, Vermont. USA- October 13, 2023- A sign outside the Round Church relates its history. Built in 1812-1813 the Old Round Church in Richmond Vermont rests on a small hill amid Autumn foliage. This unique church  is a two-story wood-frame structure with sixteen sides, finished with wooden clapboards and modest Federal period styling.

Concord, Massachusetts, USA - March 2, 2024: The Old Manse is a historic manse in Concord, Massachusetts notable for its literary associations. The Old Manse was built in 1770 for the Rev. William Emerson, father of minister William Emerson and grandfather of transcendentalist writer and lecturer Ralph Waldo Emerson. n 1842, the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne rented the Old Manse for $100 a year. The Old Manse The house is located on Monument Street, with the Concord River just behind it. The property neighbors the North Bridge, a part of Minute Man National Historical Park. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966 and is open to the public as a nonprofit museum.
