This lotus leaf is a plant from the Amazon region of South America. It is known that the tree was planted at the temple in the 1990s and is one of the rarest lotus varieties in the Southeast. This lotus variety is also larger than many other types. The flowers are white in the morning and turn pale pink in the afternoon. They bloom quickly with bright colors. It only takes about 3-5 days for the flowers to bloom.
