YELLOW-WHITE COLOUR COMBINATION ON NAMEBOARD FAILED TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS FROM AFAR RESULTING IN STORE'S LOSSES
Dear Mr. Umbers,
I wish you well.
I am a fan of MYER. Imagine that you are walking / shopping in the store. Looking at the vantage point in the enclosed photo, are you able to see the yellow-white nameboard clearly from afar? Was the message on the nameboard communicated as clearly as possible to potential customers?
As you could not see or see clearly, you would not be attracted to the nameboard or product and as such you would not pay attention to the products exhibited by the nameboard. If you do not pay attention, you would not be able to purchase more items out of your shopping list. This leads to customer loss and loss of sales and profits for MYER.
Reduction of profits led to reduction of your salary and bonus (Imagine no. of customers that walk past that vantage point until the end of lifespan of the yellow-white nameboard and those customer’s circle of influence = opportunity cost to MYER)
I know there are politically correct reasons not to change existing nameboard, structure or systems. Please kindly store this feedback into your company’s knowledge base as reference for future store revamp.
I seek no remuneration and I hope you will take this feedback positively as a goodwill gesture from me. Please share this idea with your circle of influence. retail technology transportation signs foodanddrinks retail melbourne australia |
