Keywords: Dear Mr. Umbers My name is Ben Tsai. I am a big fan of MYER. I was wondering if more than 1 customer would not purchase a $10,000 TV because of untidy cables [ Bourke Street – Melbourne CBD – VIC – Australia] that are directly in full view of each passing potential customers (see photo)? Additionally, the customer demographic are customers with purchasing powers which are namely professionals? In such cases, professionals as yourself dislike chaos and love to pay attention to details. In the photo depicted, are the untidy cables a poor reflection on the brand of MYER and of her management? Please help to organise and tidy disorganised cables from all stores in Australia. I really hope that my future purchases for e.g of a $10,000 TV system will outweigh the manpower cost of tidying up cables which would take less than 8 minutes. On a separate note, imagine coming down or going up each escalator. In the midst of approaching the end of the escalator, you have a 2 minutes of idle time. Imagine that idle time is occupied by the biggest discount signage e.g. “70% off” and the placement of the most popular together with the newest fashion and other items near the foot of the escalators. Wouldn’t making all MYER products easily movable a good idea as well? Unfortunately, I noticed that NoT All escalators have conspicuous signage waiting for me or in my line of sight as I travel from one point to the other on the escalator [Bourke Street – Melbourne CBD, VIC]. Could you help see that the placement of your discount signage and products are best relocated to their optimal position to maximise MYER profits? Lastly, I love that there are brochures at the pillars at the Bourke Street outlet. However the brochures are inconspicuously located. No one knows if they can take those brochures unless there are someone distributing the brochures or there are signage to invite customers to “Please take one”. Imagine how much more profits MYER will make if the increased penetration of brochures content reach more customers to attract them to buy more items out of their shopping list. www.myer.com.au/ retail cables television melbourne australia
