I am a fan of COLES Supermarket. Imagine you are the customer redeeming rewards on the grocery receipt. Currently there are 2 steps involved: 1. Scan barcode on receipt, 2. Scan barcode on FLYBUYS card which involve customers searching for the card from the bag/wallet > passing the card over to the cashier > taking the card back from cashier > putting back into the right compartment in the bag/wallet after searching for the compartment. Too much of a hassle isn’t it. I wish that for current or future system upgrade, the step where customers are required to take out their FLYBUYS card to redeem extra reward points (checked with your liquorstore staff – Melbourne Central Mall, Melbourne city, VIC, Australia 13 Jul 2015 ~8pm) - are eliminated. Currently the grocery receipt prints the membership no. in numeric format. If only the receipts print an additional barcode of the rewards (FLYBUYS) card below the membership no. on the grocery receipt. This will bring much convenience (in terms of service excellence) to the customers not to mention WOWING the customers when the cashier communicate the customers get to earn more FLYBUY points without the hassle. More pros and cons of this idea could be analysed by your Marketing Professors and Business Analysts. I seek no remuneration and I hope you will take this feedback positively as a goodwill gesture from me and implement the idea now if not for your future system upgrade.
