I'm generally more sympathetic. Predicting such a chaotic system as Britain's weather patterns is fiendishly complicated, and by and large I feel the Met Office do a pretty credible job. Not today though. The weather forecast has been rock solid for days - stair rod rain. Our sports day was cancelled (which frankly I was thrilled about) and in the end not a single drop did fall.
