It's the Lego 10244 Fairground Mixer set, which is a faithful reproduction of one of the very, very few fairground rides that I would actually go on, pre-injury. I know that I've used electrically lit Lego bricks since I was a wee nipper, but I don't immediately recall coming across luminous bricks before this set. They're very effective, with the only light source in this shot being the luminous bricks. The ride operates like the real thing, and I've opted to go for this shot with the ride in motion for the very pretty patterns that it makes. Most notably, you can see the consistent arcs drawn out by the riders cars. I noticed even as a child that as you span around seemingly randomly you were always hitting the same three points on the rides perimeter. It's nice to have that illustrated now! It's a great set, with still plenty more to build - not least one that Mike got me that he's very excited about. :) This is one of my Christmas presents!
