"Don't worry" whispers the dental nurse conspiratorially, "it's just a little prick with a needle". This masterpiece of double entendre is typical of the character. So too was his reaction to my asking to photograph his tray. "Ummm, what are you after?" he asks. I explain that I'm trying to take a photo a day for a year, and rather than the 'eyes to heaven' gesture I might expect, I get "Cool...do you want me to get out some big stuff?". Given the proper camera, I'd have agreed with a light heart, but once again, it's a dodgy mobile shot. I really should get a better one if I'm going to keep this up! Incidentally, it was just a trip to the hygienist and a check up, and I'm pleased to say that all was well.
