Check back in about a week though. :) Today, I give you a shot from my work. I've whined a lot about roadworks of late, and one of my headaches has now gone away. The roadworks on Tuebrook roundabout are now complete, and as part of the works they've replaced the pelican crossings with these god-awful puffin crossings. I've tried to find some of the design rationale, and so far I've churned up this consultation report for TfL. I could be wrong, but I'm reading it as that there's not much to separate the two crossings, apart from the fact that 30% of users complained about the red/green pedestrian alert being blocked by other crossing users compared to 7% for pelicans.
