It's a Raspberry Pi, a fabulous little super cheap microcomputer built on the back of mobile phone technology. It might be tiny and run a phone cpu, but it renders MP4 files in full 1080p without trauma. It as conceived as an educational tool to put programmable computers in the hands of every child, but instead is finding market penetration in all kinds of areas, including media and internet boxes for TVs, embedded applications, time lapse camera boxes and one guy who built a one third scale classic mac with fully operational software emulation!
