We're in the middle of making huge changes to the network, but a certain amount of stuff has to be operational on results days. We worked yesterday to make sure that certain key services were available, but something died overnight and poor Dave spent the morning fighting with various server configurations to bring stuff back to life. We got there in the end, and then it was back to network matters. One of the jobs today was identifiying switches on the network, and that took me to this cabinet. It's one of the most crowded ones, with four switches in a not overly huge box, but it's a lot easier to navigate since we completely repatched it during Easter. It's really not as complicated as it looks. :) Today was, of course, A level results day, and it didn't start well for us.
