Williamson Square had a Spitfire parked in it, which was interesting. There was one due to fly over the Mersey, but the very stiff wind today put paid to that. Ordinarily parking a plane in Liverpool City Centre could be a high risk strategy, but it would surely come to no harm under the watchful eye of this member of the 1940s Lancashire Constabulary!
