This isn't too bad a thing to do, as it's really beautiful, but this has an extra quality as well. Shhh...it's HDR. I've decided to try exploring HDR photography just a little. In principle it sounds like a really useful tool, yet I'm curious as to why so much of the HDR that I see looks, to my eyes, so shockingly bloody awful. To my mind, the technique should enhance the photo, not define it. Maybe I'm wrong or being naive, so over the next few weeks you might see another shot or two pop up and we'll see where we get with it. The object here was to get the all the tonal colour and the details from the blossom petals. I think it's not a bad job. Could I have done as well without HDR...yes, maybe. Let's see how I get on.
