This will not come till long after but don't be anxious & don't worry about me. So far quite safe. There are 100s of English nurses here so even if you hear of any being hurt don't imagine it's me. I am quite as safe here as at home. Best love, don't worry. 30.4.15. 8am just off to hos[pital] & post. Will write later today posts are trying" * I have assumed that the initial 'D' that has been used previously is just an abbreviation of Dunkirk. Trying to piece this with wider events in the war I wondered if this was connected with the first German gas attack of 22 April 1915, but looking at www.firstworldwar.com/onthisday/1915_04_28.htm there were German bombardments of Dunkirk specifically on 28 & 29 April For more details of the story behind this album see www.flickr.com/photos/whatsthatpicture/sets/7215762769463...
