Keywords: I have acquired a small batch of film negatives (ca 70) with a very distinctive format. Judging from clues in variousimages they are rather earlier than I had originally thought - probably late 1890s and turn of the century. They are amateur 'snapshots' taken in Spain, the Netherlands and the Middle East. This appears to be Egypt, where Dragoman's were tour guides, and there's a poster on the wall where I can just make out the name Cairo. The size is approximately 8cm x 8cm and has been identified as being characteristic of a Frena No. 1 camera.
