Keywords: That's my third car, the first car I ever had a *choice* over. I got it 'cuz I was a car guy back then, and a Nissan 240 is one of the cheapest cars you can get that's rear wheel drive.
Sadly the used copy I got of this car was getting 15 mpg right out of the lot. Sometimes even worse. It was fun to drive, but a gas guzzler is no friend to a poor college student.
So anyway, this is also one of my first times with a tripod at night. I think I'd bought this tripod for some measly amount, less than $20 or something at Fry's. I remember being kinda surprised after I took this photo, that if the conditions are right, you can make a night shot look like a day shot. I didn't actually like any of the compositions I took that night, but it was fun just trying to create aperture stars from long exposure times.
And yes, I didn't bother to blur out the license plate from the car I no longer own from nearly 10 years ago. I dunno. If I have a reason to fear identity theft issues here, let me know in the comments. street car night d50 nissan pavement parking vehicle suburbs signalhill ricerocket 240sx 85mmf18 parallelparking |
