The Womans Magazine building, of stone,marble and terra cotta, Avith a dome of copper,is the executive building of the Lewis PublishingCompany. This building is one hundred and thirty-fivefeet high, and with the press room in the rear, oc-cupies five and one-half acres of ground. It isone of the most beautiful structures in the countr) ,and during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition wisvisited by more than one million people. On the top of the dome is the largest search-light in the world. The cherubs on the cornicesare each ten feet in height, while the four lionsguarding the entrances are each twelve feet inlength, and the height of a man. The cost of thisbuilding was $550,000.
