| Keywords: outdoor animal bird I would appreciate help/opinions on the ID of this bird please..... To me the undertail looks good for Black-capped. The bill looks clearly small, however. The black pattern on the face is ambiguous. What is the timing of cap-color molt on Black-capped? The call did not sound like a Blue-gray; probably closest to Black-tailed.
