Keywords: This was a test focus stacking I did with 14 shots from my 105mm macro lens at f/8 and Helicon Focus software. Subject is a Canon PowerShot S100 point and shoot camera with lens out. Results overall are good, the entire camera is in focus and very sharp, to the point of small dust being visible. Retouching was necessary in several small places due to the software selecting the wrong layer, especially along the camera's cord, but the retouching features are fairly easy to use. In some places the cord is out of focus because I didn't take quite enough shots. There are some artifacts at the back and right side of the camera that could not be easily corrected because the blur halo of the camera in front obscured the sharp surface. Out of the box the transition to blurry at the top was very awkward and wavy and needed to be retouched. The blue lighting at right is not an artifact but due to multicolored light sources.
