Keywords: fazer kismet marianne fazerkismetmarianne finnish sweeties finnishsweeties white background text After some time in Finland it seemed timely to revisit my magical Christmas confectionery box. The Fazer Kismet has been around since 1974, and is a substantial 55g bar that sits large in the hand and a worthy six inches long. It's essentially a wafer biscuit, with three layers of quite thick very light crisp waffle with thin chocolate in between a thin chocolate coating. For comparison, it's very close to a blue riband, but obviously larger. The twist on this one is that it's picked up Marianne branding, and as we know that's Fazer's mint product line, so this one predictably has a hint of mint. And in truth, I think it's that 'hint' that lets it down for me. It's very pleasant, but I do like a slightly stronger mint kick. I'd also say that the wafer to chocolate ratio is perhaps a little high. It's very much more a biscuit bar than a chocolate bar. Still, it's tasty, and it splits elegantly into four for times when that might be useful. :) After some time in Finland it seemed timely to revisit my magical Christmas confectionery box.
