Amsterdam Police Department is urging city residents to lock their car doors after items stolen from multiple parked vehicles overnight hours. Police received three different reports on the morning of October 8th 2015 claiming vehicles that were unlocked had items stolen from inside. Reports were; taken on Evelyn Avenue a book bag was stolen containing personal papers, Church Street sunglasses were stolen, Hewitt Street sunglasses were also stolen. Another report was taken on October 10th 2015 on Stewart Street for a wallet reported stolen.
